MTTlab — Expand your research
Preclinical & translational research services

Tailored research for complex scientific questions.

MTTlab supports biotech companies, pharmaceutical innovators and academic research groups with customized preclinical and translational research programs.

We combine scientific discussion, experimental design and hands-on execution to build studies around the question you need to answer — not around a fixed catalogue of protocols.

Multiple experimental approaches converging on a scientific question, evidence and a decision
How we think about services

We don’t start from a test. We start from your question.

Some projects require a single well-designed experiment. Others require a sequence of complementary studies, different models or external expertise.

Our role is to identify the most appropriate experimental path and build it around your objectives, development stage and constraints.

This is why our services are organized as flexible scientific capabilities rather than rigid packages.

Preclinical in vivo research

Established in vivo expertise.

In vivo research remains one of MTTlab’s core capabilities, built on more than two decades of hands-on experience in experimental pharmacology.

We design customized studies to evaluate efficacy, pharmacological activity, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and biodistribution across selected preclinical models.

Key capabilities

  • Non-GLP toxicology and tolerability studies
  • Pharmacokinetics
  • Biodistribution
  • Efficacy studies
  • Dose selection and dose-response studies
  • Oncology models
  • Xenograft models
  • Allograft models
  • Orthotopic models
  • Selected disease models

Current disease-model experience includes

  • Oncology
  • Glioblastoma
  • NASH / metabolic disease
  • Ulcerative colitis / inflammatory disease

Advanced in vitro research

Expanding human-relevant research capabilities.

MTTlab is developing a new generation of in vitro research capabilities designed to complement traditional preclinical models and increase the translational relevance of experimental programs.

Our approach combines conventional cell-based assays with advanced systems selected according to the biological question.

We are particularly interested in projects where advanced in vitro models can generate meaningful mechanistic information before or alongside in vivo validation.

Current and developing capabilities

  • Cell viability and cytotoxicity assays
  • 2D cellular models
  • Co-culture systems
  • Barrier models
  • Blood-brain barrier models
  • Dynamic fluidic systems
  • Advanced human-relevant models
  • Mechanistic studies
  • Integrated in vitro / in vivo strategies

Translational study design

The experiment starts before the experiment.

A technically correct study can still fail to answer the right question.

For this reason, we support clients in defining the experimental strategy before study execution.

This support may be part of a larger MTTlab study or provided as a stand-alone scientific discussion.

We can help with

  • Selection of the most appropriate model
  • Definition of study objectives and endpoints
  • Dose and schedule rationale
  • Experimental sequencing
  • Integration of in vitro and in vivo approaches
  • Feasibility assessment
  • Interpretation of preliminary data
  • Planning of the next experimental step

Integrated research programs

One scientific question may require more than one laboratory.

Not every capability needs to sit under the same roof.

When a project requires complementary expertise, MTTlab can integrate selected scientific collaborators and technology partners into a coordinated research program.

MTTlab remains the scientific point of contact, helping coordinate the different components around a common experimental strategy.

Depending on project needs, this may include expertise in

  • Histology and pathology
  • Bioanalysis
  • Imaging
  • Advanced in vitro systems
  • Organoids
  • Molecular biology
  • Data analysis and biostatistics
  • Specialized technologies

Scientific reporting & interpretation

Data are useful only when they support a decision.

Our involvement does not stop when the experiment ends.

We provide structured reporting and scientific interpretation designed to help clients understand both the findings and their limitations.

We do not promise the result you hope to see. We commit to generating data that are reproducible, transparent and useful for the next decision.

Depending on the project, support may include

  • Study reports
  • Data visualization
  • Statistical analysis
  • Scientific interpretation
  • Discussion of unexpected findings
  • Recommendations for subsequent studies
  • Publication-oriented scientific support
A flexible way to work

One experiment or an integrated program.

You may come to MTTlab with a clearly defined protocol; a compound and a scientific question; preliminary data that need validation; a model that needs development; or a complex problem without an obvious experimental solution.

All are valid starting points.

The first step is the same: a scientific conversation.
